We have a real long, doozy of an episode to close out Darksiders II week! We are now off the planet Earth, and we are going to be clearing out an entire heavenly dungeon that has been corrupted by … well Corruption. Man they need to improve their naming conventions.
This dungeon introduces us to the Voidwalker or as it is more commonly known as, the Portal Gun. Why does Darksiders need a portal gun? The same question was asked during the original game, and there really wasn’t any answer other than “Why not?” The use of the voidwalker is pretty much fine, but it does kind of feel out of place. Not to mention that because of all the options you have as a fighter, it can prove to be difficult to switch to the voidwalker and use it effectively.
While the episode is long, there’s a lot of good material in there. Getting lost, using portals, and even two boss fights. One boss fight where they try and make it feel epic, but ultimately is so easy that it’s not even worth mentioning. Very exciting!
