Dark Souls Full Play | Episode 35 – Good Night, and Good Luck

First version of Dark Souls would say "You Defeated" after a boss. Felt appropriate for this episode.Gwyn is finally dead.  There are times when you know something is going to work, and right before this attempt on Gwyn, I knew this would be the end of Dark Souls for me. I felt this way because I was finally going back to basics and playing the way that I like.  The key to all of this was the fact that the Greatshield of Artorias has fantastic stability and fire resist.  That insured that on block, I wasn’t losing too much stamina, and only losing a tiny bit of health due to fire damage.  Sure it took me awhile, and it’s probably not the flashiest kill ever, but it was still valid.

For now the Full Play series will go on hiatus.  I’m going to be working on getting everything moved over and setup in the my new house.  I know some people have asked for some livestreams of me going through New Game +, and I will probably do a bit of that, so stay tuned to the g33kWatch social media entities for that.

After that though, once my video game budget goes way down, it will be good to restart the series with a new game.  Please leave comments and tell us what you would like Joey V to play for his next Full Play.  It could obviously be a past game if you so desired, but it could also be a game that hasn’t come out yet.  Just let us know what you would be interested in and we’ll take the best responses and put them to a vote on the g33kWatch Website / Facebook.

Thanks for watching everyone, and can’t wait for the next series!

  1. Your monologue is magnificent, and it meshes beautifully well with the music. Well played, sir, well played!

My vote is for Man vs. Wild. It’s comedic gold, relatively short, and I’ll even send you my copy (because I’m too embarrassed to trade it back in)!

  2. Congrats on the sex! boss kill!

I’m looking forward to trying the dlc when it comes out. I wonder how many more times I’ll get killed in that…

I’d put my vote in for Beautiful Katamari. Its a fun game and I think it could be a really fun one for a Lets Play style series.
