g33kWatch Podcast – Marathon Cast Reunion Show!
We said after the Mass Effect Marathon that we would be taking a week off from Podcast to get the creative juices flowing again.
Well we lied. We missed you guys and gals so much that we had to provide you with some awesome content!
Hence, we got some of the band together and wanted to talk about what we liked, what we didn’t like, and what we hope to see next year with the Marathon. In addition we talk about some of the awesome memories we have, and discuss possibly doing a panel at PAX East where we can give some advice to people who are new to this whole thing. We aren’t experts, but we definitely have an inside outlook on the entire process now that should be shared with the community.
For those of you who are starting to listen to our Podcasts because of the Marathon, we appreciate the help with spreading the word about the g33kWatch site, and hope that you’ll keep coming back every week for a new Podcast and / or article about the geek community. We have a lot of great ideas of things we would love to do for you, and we hope that you’ll keep checking back in and giving us your ideas on what you would like to see!

The Marathon was amazing. It was great listening to this and reliving some of the best moments. I think my favourite part of the weekend was the songs and dances. You really put a lot into them and it can’t be easy keeping that energy up all weekend without much sleep. The band names were fun and I’m glad my suggestion of Raid Boss and the Sheps stuck :p The ending was really great too “Joker cut the feed!”
I’ll defenitely be back for Mass Effect Marathon 2 next year and listen to the podcast until then. You guys rock!

I love the podcast! I think Bohemian Rhapsody (weird game syncing FTW) and the epic Macarena (dancing Shepard!) were my favorites, but the whole thing was truly awesome to behold. I’m hoping to make it up to PAX this year, so maybe I’ll catch up with you guys. Rock on!
Hey guys! Listening to the podcast now. (It’s kind of hard to hear anyone other than Joe, though. LOL)
Just wanted to say that I’m proud to have spent my holiday weekend with you all. I’m actually a tad regretful that I didn’t have enough energy to abandon sleep for the weekend!
My favorite part was everyone’s reaction to the $10k mark. Everyone, on your end and ours, was so excited! It was very emotional. My least favorite part was the amount of sad puppy looks I got from my sister and my boyfriend for having tied up the media pc all weekend. (But, hey! They kept asking for updates, so it couldn’t have been too horrible! ;D )
I can’t wait until MEM2, honestly. FemShep ftw! Also, I’m already starting to draft up ideas for things I can donate, so if you guys need help with anything for next year, please let us know!

I strongly suggest to you Dr Mac and also everyone else on this thread, get a hotel room and register for PAX East. It’s an amazing time, and we’ll have an even greater time because our little “m33k” community can get together and play games for three days straight. =)
Well, I’m late to listen, but another solid cast. Too bad PAX East is scheduled for the same time as my baby. Baby wins.
I am totally bringing back something for the tatter tot. You may not be able to be there, but it will tide her over until her first PAX =)
